Each of us has heard about the AK-47 – this carbine even entered the Guinness Book of Records as the most widespread weapon in the world.
In the USSR, work on this weapon began in the 1930s. Of the five projects delivered, the Kalashnikov prototype won, which was introduced to the Soviet army in 1949 and is still being produced today.
